Data Destruction
| Data destruction is widely misunderstood and misrepresented. Many companies offer certificates of destruction to their customers. Such certificates can be considered weak assurances of what actually happens to data. From transport to final destruction, your hard drive can pass through a "chain of custody," leaving it vulnerable at any one point. It may even disappear overseas, only to end up in compromising places. Totaltek does not use 3rd party for this process. Totaltek has two levels of data destruction. | ||

Totaltek uses software that will completely delete the contents of any hard disk which makes it an appropriate utility for bulk or emergency data destruction. This software was reviewed by the RCMP and it met their minimum standard for use by Canadian government agencies. |
